All function bookings are in 4-hour slots (between 12 PM – 10 PM) and include an extra hour for setup. Need more time? No problem! Time extensions are available at $120 per additional hour.

The Conservatory
The conservatory is the perfect space for a social event for your large group or gathering. Available as Half Conservatory (60-80 guests) or Full Conservatory (up to 120 guests). The flexible nature of this amazing indoor/outdoor space is able to be adapted to almost any function. Please talk to our team about booking either of these spaces for your group or event.
The Function room
Our main function room is a private space on the second floor of Woodside with direct lift or stairs access. The room comes equipped with its own private bar, big screen TVs, professional sound system, and toilets. This is the perfect space to create that special event for you and your family. Suitable for up to 80 seated guests or 90 cocktail style.

No. This space is not weatherproof and is reserved for walk-in diners and smokers. There is also a health and safety risk. If the weather was to turn (too hot or rain) while the restaurant is full there is no guarantee that we can safely accommodate the private booking in our sheltered spaces.

Woodside only allows full venue hire for events over 150 people.

Yes, one hour set up time prior to the start of your event is included in the venue hire. If you think you will need more time, please let us know as soon as possible, this can sometimes be arranged with the venue staff but is dependent on the general trade of the restaurant/bar and if there is another function booked before yours.

Free standing banners, balloon garlands, green walls etc.
Small table centre pieces, dining sets or decorations.
We do not allow
Any type of fastening/sticking on our walls.
No glitter or confetti of any type is allowed.
Hirer must clear all decorations and/or table settings at the end of the event.
We look after the general rubbish removal but any decorations that are bought in must be taken with you at the end of your event – this includes ballons and balloon garlands.

We pre-set the space as per our recommendation and you have the option to adjust when you arrive if you wish.
*Please note that 1x hour of set up time prior to the start of your event is included in the venue hire (i.e. if your event starts at 6pm, you may come in at 5pm to set up decorations or table settings.)
If you have a specific floor plan and table lay out please discuss with our team during the planning process and we will do our best to accommodate you.

This is the minimum amount of money required to be spent on the function. This includes the venue hire, catering, bar tab and any addition services you have paid for (Security, additional hours, tablecloth hire ect.) as well as any additional spend by your guests over the bar.
What happens if I do NOT reach the minimum spend?
In the unlikely event that the minimum spend is not met we will invoice the remaining balance as a venue hire charge.
What happens if I go above the minimum spend?
We are truly grateful, and we are confident that you will thoroughly enjoy yourself and will ensure our customer service will enhanced experience of your function.

We can accommodate but the venue hire and minimum spend requirements remain the same.

Yes! The functions menus are designed to compliment each other, so if you’d like a full buffet and platters we can do both. You can not order from the restaurant menu for your function.

We do not allow self-catering at Woodside.

A small ceremonial cake can be brought in free of charge.
Any cake or desserts above 2-tiers will incur a $20 service fee.

Yes! But we do not provide take-away containers. You must bring your own containers to take away leftover food.

Unfortunately, our point of sale system does not allow for subsidised bar tabs but you can restrict what your guests are allowed to order on the bar tab.

This allows us more flexibility in setting up tables as we are not restricted by a certain number of table cloths. Meaning we can put less people on more tables for a more comfortable fit rather than trying to squeeze every one in to fit the number of table cloths hired.

At Woodside this option is only available for the Function Room, not the conservatory.

We have screens, not projectors, our screens connect via HDMI, access to these is included in the venue hire.
The Function Room has 5x Screens that all connect to one source .
The Conservatory Spaces have 2x 55” Flat screen TVs available.

We do not have official payment plans. However, you can pay in as many instalments as you need. As long as your $350 deposit is paid within 2 weeks of confirming and your function is fully paid off 7 days before your event.

Our venues are licensed Taverns meaning all children and anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and cannot stay past 8.30pm. You must be over 18 to enter our gaming area and as per our host responsibility: no ID, no service, no exceptions.
